Prestigious CSC Gold Certificate for the Rohožník Cement Plant
Our Danucem cement plant in Rohožník has been awarded the prestigious CSC (Concrete Sustainability Council) Gold Certificate in the cement category – becoming the first cement producer in Slovakia to achieve this level. This significant international recognition confirms our responsible approach to production, the environment, and the local community. From the bronze level achieved in 2022, we have progressed all the way to CSC Gold. The certification covers the entire Rohožník plant – both the white and grey production lines – and confirms that we meet strict global sustainability standards.
What stands behind our success?
The CSC Gold Certificate is the result of long term investments in modern technologies that increase energy efficiency and support circular solutions. We have achieved substantial improvements especially in the environmental area, where we continuously work on process optimisation, the use of alternative fuels, and raw material recycling.
An important part of the evaluation also includes activities that support biodiversity restoration and community development. In Rohožník and the surrounding area, we focus on tree planting, cooperation with nature conservation experts, and support for local sports, cultural, and educational projects. We work closely with the municipality to beautify public spaces and improve local infrastructure.
